What are joint biologics injections in Chennai India? There is a lot of confusion on this topic. Many people use words like stem cells without understanding their meaning. Others use the concept of regenerative medicine.
I would like to clarify what this means.
The injection of biologic substances into joints for the treatment of arthritis has been called several names like ‘stem cell treatment’, ‘ Cellular therapy’, ‘OrthoBiologics therapy’, and ‘PRP therapy. None of these are correct epistemologically.

When these are used to treat lesions by surgery, then the phrase ‘Joint biologic surgery’ would be appropriate. The concept includes biologicals like SVF, PRP, growth factors, Exosomes, bone marrow aspirate concentrate, birth products like umbilical cord-derived cells, placenta, and Wharton’s jelly. Many of these are available in my practice. I perform SVF and PRP procedures using the patient’s own tissues. Umbilical cord therapy is gaining a lot of evidence.
